Alex is originally from Michigan and trained at the Detroit Skating Club and other rinks there, until relocating to Delaware in 2002 to train at the Skating Club of Wilmington.  He was National (2003, 2005) and Junior National (1997) competitor in dance, and a gold medalist in Dance, Free Dance and Moves-in-the-Field.

Alex has 14 years of teaching experience with students of all ages and levels.

Debbie is a National Level coach with over 16 years of teaching experience.

She is a two-time U.S. bronze medalist in Championship Ice Dancing and an international Silver Medalist. She competed on behalf of Team USA for five years and performed in many local and broadcasted TV shows. She is a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist and a Professional Skaters Association (PSA) member.

Pasha (Pavel) Filchenkov, Coach

Pasha is a United States ice dancer. In 2011, 2012 and 2013, he competed with his ice dancing partner at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. They placed 10th in 2013. He is coached by Natalia Linichuk and Gennadiy Karponosov, the 1980 Olympic Ice Dancing champions.

Pasha holds a degree from the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism with a specialization in Figure Skating.

Phillipp is a a Junior International and Junior World Coach. He has coached junior national and national pairs medalists. His disciplines taught include Basic Skills, Moves-In-the-Field and Freestyle for both singles and pairs. He is a member of the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and U.S. Figure Skating.

Phillip has been master-rated in pairs and senior-rated in freestyle. He has been a gold medalist in figures, freestyle, pairs and dance. Phillipp was a national and international competitor. He is a two-time National Pewter Medalist in pairs and a World Professional Pewter Medalist in pairs.

The Exton Edge Figure Skating Club is led by Coaching Coordinator Lisa Huth, who carries over 18 years of coaching experience. She has coached International and National figure skaters, and is a member of both the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and U.S. Figure Skating. Lisa is also the Learn to Skate Director at Power Play Rinks.

Lisa trained in London, England, at the Queens Ice Figure Skating Rink. She has passed silver figures, silver freestyle and pre-silver ice dance tests. Lisa also competed all throughout Great Britain at the silver level. As a professional, she was a Soloist with Holiday On Ice Europe for two years. Lisa then went on to tour with Disney On Ice for five years. She specializes in Moves-in-the-Field and choreography.


Inna Svetacheva-Knorr, Coach

Inna is an accomplished pairs skater who was coached by two-time Olympic champion, six-time world champion, and seven-time European champion, Alexander Zaitsev. Inna and her partner, Vladimir Shagov, placed in the top five in more than 10 major national and international pairs competitions, placing first in half of them.  

In the early to mid 1990s, Inna joined the Russian All-Stars on Ice for their 1991-1992 season, became a principal cast member in the Russian Ballet on Ice from 1992-1995, and joined Disney on Ice as a principal character from 1995-1996.

Inna has over 15 years of coaching experience and has had many successful students. Over half of her students have reached either the Junior or Senior Freestyle level, and one of her students is a two-time national adult freestyle champion.

In Moscow, Russia, Inna attended the Institute of Modern Art 1992-1994, as well as the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth, and Tourism 1990-1994. Sport training, with a focus on figure skating; educational sport psychology; classical and modern ballet; character dance; and choreography were among the subjects she studied. Inna is a member of the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and is a certified, class A coach with the Professional Skater’s Association (PSA).

Tara Kay Willis, Coach

Tara has coached group and private lessons (all levels of skating, recreational to competitive) since 1999. Her disciplines taught Basic Skills, Freestyle, Moves-in-the-Field and choreography. She is a member of Professional Skaters Association (PSA) – CER Category A and U.S. Figure Skating (USFS).

She holds a BS from University of Delaware in Health and Exercise Science, minoring in Figure Skating Science. Figure Skating Science is a specialized degree of study for competitive figure skating coaches blending theory and practice of sports psychology and biomechanics as they pertain to the sport of figure skating. Her degree also included being mentored by Ron Luddington and other National, World and Olympic coaches.

Alexa has over 15 years of experience in skating. She specializes in the introduction of skaters to the ice through private and group lessons. She is a very encouraging coach with a background in Early Childhood Education. She has helped coach the Special Olympics. She enjoys working with skaters of all ages with a focus on skill development and programs designed and created for the individual.
